Walgreens has a new line of natural products that I have had the opportunity to sample through the Moms Meet program! Ology was created by Walgreens as a way to satisfy the growing desire for environmentally-friendly products. Ology includes household cleaners as well as paper,
personal care, and baby products. I have personally tried the laundry liquid detergent, paper towels and all-purpose cleaner.
Oftentimes with natural laundry detergents, there will be a residue left on the clothes or they will not smell fresh and clean at the end of the cycle. Not so with Ology. Ology 2x Laundry Liquid Detergent worked just as good as other name brand products, but without the toxic chemicals. Available in a free and clear scent as well as a spring lavender vanilla scent, both of which are derived using only natural ingredients, your clothes will emerge from the washer smelling and feeling clean. You won’t find these harmful chemicals in Ology products: ammonia, chlorine bleach, DEA (diethanolamine), TEA (triethanolamine), parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, nonylphenol ethoxylates, triclosan, and SLS/SLES. The retail price for Ology liquid detergent is $6.79, so it won’t break the bank either.
The Ology paper towels did not fall apart on me when I used them after dinner on my kitchen counters and stovetop. They cleaned up messes and spills no problem. Ology paper towels are tree-free, made from readily renewable sugar cane husk and quick-growing bamboo that regenerates in as little as six months. I don’t typically buy paper towels because 1) environmental factor and 2) the cost, but if you are going to buy paper towels, these would be the one’s to get. Ology Paper Towel 2 pack retails for $3.99.
The product that I loved the most was the Ology All-Purpose Cleaner. After using it, the kitchen was clean and smelled fresh, of lemon and lavender, rather than how it typically smells after using other products: sterile and bleached. Even my husband commented on how nice the kitchen smelled, not knowing that it was a cleaning product. Free of harmful chemicals, the all-purpose cleaner retails for $3.99 per bottle.
