Book Review: 365 Pocket Devotions

This little pocket devotional (conveniently titled 365 Pocket Devotions) packs a big punch. It is unlike others I have which are written with the month/day for readings; this one is labeled Day 1, Day 2, etc. I found this helpful because I know that I will not miss a day if life gets busy. It can be read from beginning to end or there is the other option of flipping to the back of the book and searching the Topical Index. Here can be found a wide variety of topics that can be helpful in looking up something that is more specific to a current life situation.

There is not any personal opinions or stories in this devotional; it is simply a solid, Biblically-based devotional that only takes a few minutes out of your day. There are anywhere from 1-3 paragraphs with a Bible verse to summarize the day’s reading. Thought-provoking questions that require personal insight are what I found most helpful.

Tyndale House Publishers provided me with a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest, not necessarily positive, review.
