Book Review: Hunt For The Devil’s Dragon

Hunt For The Devil’s Dragon is a historical fiction story filled with adventure and suspense suitable for ages 7 and up. My 10-year-old son and I have been reading this book together as a way to compliment our homeschool studies since he needs extra reading practice and he enjoys fantasy books and historical fiction.

Hunt For The Devil’s Dragon takes place in 13th century Libya when cousins Beth and Patrick discover that the town of Silene is being terrorized by a mysterious dragon. Georgius, a Roman knight, is a heroic figure  who loves Christos- Jesus Christ. Georgius is ridiculed by fellow soldiers, but he never backs down from his faith in the Lord and he courageously chooses to help the children in the battle against the dragon.

My son and I have enjoyed the adventure, the examples of godly character as well as the book’s illustrations. If you are looking for a book for a child who loves history and adventure, I recommend reading Hunt For The Devil’s Dragon.

Tyndale House Publishers provided me with a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review.
