Book Review: Unstoppable, The Incredible Power of Faith in Action

Unstoppable: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action Many of us recognize the face (and body) of this smiling man with no arms and no legs. Nick Vujicic. In his first book Life Without Limbs, Nick shared his personal story of learning to live with his disability. In his second book Unstoppable, Nick speaks to the reader about faith- his faith in God and also about how we can choose to have faith in the middle of difficult circumstances in life.

I enjoyed Nick’s upbeat, conversational tone and his encouraging Aussie ‘voice’. His writing style makes this an easy read, fun yet serious. Nick has spoken to millions of people worldwide and in many different religious settings and yet, he makes no apologies for sharing the Gospel and speaking about Jesus. Throughout the book are stories and examples of faith in action from his life interwoven with Scripture and praises to God.

I especially found it helpful that Nick included a variety of topics that people are struggling with today: relationship issues, health/disability concerns, self-destructive thoughts/emotions, bullying, personal crises. This book is not a self-help book that gives an easy 1-2-3 “quick-fix”. More importantly than that, this book inspires and challenges the reader to live life to the fullest in the midst of the difficulties while growing a deeper and more meaningful relationship with the Lord. Even if you are not a Christian but are struggling with issues in your life, I know that you will gain some amazing insights from Unstoppable.

*I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for my honest review*.
